Zach's birthday!

Zach turned 6!

Zachary loves Mario, so we had a Mariokart party!  The kids decorated boxes as Karts, and then we raced!  They did a few laps, then they were exhausted. 

 We had little foam shooters, so we tried to shoot at the balloons…those didn’t stay too well, so they just shot at trees and anything else. 

 Cake and presents!  It was so fun to see Zach so excited!

It was a great day all because we had both sets of grandparents, AND the Baezas there to help!  We love you all!!

 I love having birthday parties for the kids.  We plan them a few months before, then figure out a few games and decoration items.  I am all for doing a fun party with a tiny budget, and I never lose sleep over it!  You don’t have to have food labels, a full meal, 50 decorations, and a huge party favor in order for it to be fun for everyone- especially the birthday boy!  He is still talking about his party, which I love!

Hermana Baeza

Olivia came home!

The Baeza's hold a special spot in our hearts.  It all started with Chris and John!  John tutored Chris one winter for the ACT.  The kids used to get all ready for bed, then wait for him to come so they could wave goodnight.  Then the Baeza's went to Disneyland (you can see how we are good friends!) and got the kids presents.  The deal was sealed!  We have gotten to know them and love them in the last few years, and we are so grateful to have them in our lives!  Olivia (senior) watched the kids for me for my doctor's appointment before Jared was born...which turned in to me checking straight into the hospital and having a him a little while after.  She watched the kids all day and brought them to the hospital to see their newest sibling!  Richard will forever be blessed for picking up a piano for me a craig's list...and extra heavy, old piano that act was worth a lifetime of service!  He also got a huge trailer when we moved across town, and helped coordinate our move.  Then they take our kids and continue to spoil us by sending us on dates, getting pedicures, etc.  They really are the BEST!

Happy 1st Birthday, Jared!

Jared turned 1!  He is such a sweet, mellow boy.  We just love him!  And those cheeks!! 

We had a little family dinner party, with Tracey, Leslie, Maren, Wayne and Roma, and then the Baeza family, and the Fisher family.  It was such a great night!  Jared got to try cake- he was a big fan!  He, like his siblings at that age and even still, hated having his hands messy! We love you Jared, and we are so glad you are in our family!!
