Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Halloween was so fun this year, but we did miss going with the Barrus family since we have gone around with them the last two years. It was much warmer here in California though!
Last week was the stake Trunk or Treat, which was really fun! I made Zach's costume, Lightning McQueen, and Zach loved it. That is, until his saw this Thomas costume. He LOVED it! It even had lights in the front and back

We played carnival games and had hot dogs and popcorn and then went around to all the cars when it got dark. Zach figured out that he just had to keep going up to cars and he would get more candy! He says a cute 'Trick or Treat!' and then a 'Thank you!' after they throw a piece of candy in his bag.
We went to the pumpkin patch twice this week- once John, Zach, Elizabeth and me and another time with all of us an Wayne and Roma, plus one of Zachary's friends was there. They had some rides, so he wanted to do the truck one that went around a track like a train. He was the only one on it and thought it was SO great! I videotaped the whole thing and he has watched it on the computer more than a dozen times since then.
Zach picked out his pumpkin that he could carry all by himself and we went home to carve it. Now he calls all the Jack O'Lanterns 'Jack' and if their lights are on then they are 'awake'

He had to check the bottom of any pumpkin he was interested in, cause he saw his dad do it.

Heavy! ('Hea-by!')

Corinne from work made these adorable treats for everyone in the office! Soooo cute!!

Last night we went trick-or-treating around a few houses in my old neighborhood, and then a bunch of houses around the Bishops neighborhood. My Dad came over that afternoon since he is flying out to Asia and didn't go home to Utah for the weekend like usual. Elizabeth slept the whole time, so he just pushed her in the stroller. We were able to take Zach around to a bunch of houses a lot easier! Zach has been talking about 'Dude' all day today- he loves it when he visits.
We had dropped off Wayne and Roma at the airport in the morning...they are going on a Mexican cruise! They were sad to miss Zach's trick or treating...he gets excited about EVERYTHING so we knew he would be so cute.
These two lasted about 50 minutes! They had a fun time...Abby was a little scared of the masks and the scary decorations, and Zach didn't even notice costumes or that anything was scary. He kept saying 'Fu-un!' (everything is two syllables with him).

When we were on our way to my old street before going out with the Hall family, my Dad and John were making up phrases for Zach to say. Instead of Trick or Treat they were joking 'Cash or Candy' or 'Money or Treat'. So then Zach says 'Trick or TRUCK! HAHAHA!' He made a joke! We all laughed so hard, so he kept going- trick or car! trick or tractor! I made him say 'Trick or Treat' a bunch of times before we got there so he would say the right one.
