So Cal activities

Tuesday night we celebrated John's 30th birthday! 

We had chocolate eclairs and cupcakes :)

His presents- just what he asked for: Socks!  Lots and lots of socks! and a golf shirt, and the kids and I gave him a car detailing kit.  Ahh to be old :)

 Wednesday we hiked up to the Hollywood sign!  It was the first time most of us had done it.  It was a fun hike, and the kids ended up doing most of it themselves (with some help from Uncle Mike, Maren, Grant, and Riley!)

Dear Elizabeth, when you are older and you wonder why you are not looking, or are crying in almost every group picture you are in...let me tell you.  We tried to get you to look every time.  We bribed you, played with you, and tried to convince you that you would be bummed someday that you weren't smiling like everyone else, but you just didn't care.
