Zach thought the characters were great! We started off at Tarzan's Treehouse, then Pirates of the Caribbean. Zach liked the 'slides'...Elizabeth not so much. John was holding her and she turned toward him SO fast after the first drop. She put her head in his chest and held on for her life. No noises or whimpers, just holding on. This continued for the rest of the day...EVERY ride with a dark area or a tunnel she would turn around while you held her and hold on so tight and watch for what was going on. It was adorable. Then we did Winnie the Pooh and met the characters.
We watched Thunder Mountain Railroad for a while. Zach waved and yelled 'HI!!' every time it came back. A couple more inches and he will be tall enough :)
Zach has been watching Dumbo at John's parent's house. He LOVES the train part. We were so excited to show him they have Casey Junior for him to ride! When we got home that is the first thing he tells people about when they ask about Disneyland.
The kids fell asleep in the stroller after lunch and a train ride around the park. We found a cool place (the princess area in Fantasyland. It has a big tent area and when the breeze gets going it is WAY cooler than anywhere outside. Plus it is right next to an ice cream cart so we got some good stuff while the kids were zonked.)
We went to Toon Town and Zach rode with John on the 'Rolley-Coaster'. He loved it! He told me after that 'it scary for me, Mom' and I asked him if it was fun too and he said 'YA!' I asked if we came back another time if he would do it again and he said he would, so that's good. Not scared for life or anything. Like I was after Space Mountain.
After the rolley coaster we went to Mickey's house. We played and the line wasn't very long, and then we went in a little room with a few other families to see Mickey. We were the third or fourth family, so we had to wait our turn. Zach was shaking. I told him it was our turn and he ran up to Mickey and yelled 'HI MICKEY!!' and everyone loved it. He talked to him and told him he watches him and he loves him. It was so fun to see him so excited!
It was such a nice day. Hot, but so fun. Zach and Elizabeth were amazing. Not one fit or anything. They just waited in lines and kept occupied without climbing all over everything and were so happy about every second we were there.
Since my uncle works for Disney my aunt has collected a lot of cool Mickey things for their house. I like that it is very Pottery Barn-esque, but then has Mickey silverware and serving dishes. She has some Mickey kitchen towels that I love, kind of a more modern print I guess, so I finally got them this trip. We also have some spatulas and big spoons with Mickey's hand at the end in our utensil holder, so it is fun with the towels to remind us of all the fun we had there.

Yay for Disneyland! We are going for Christmas this year. Your post gave me some ideas of things we missed when we went a few months ago.
But tell me more about the Princess Area. We're probably going to Arial's Grotto because my two nieces and Gwen love Disney princesses. I thought Arial's Grotto was the only place to see the princesses. What's this Princess Area like?
How fun! I wish we could have met you there. Looks like it was a blast! You look fantastic btw...
the pictures with mickey are my favorite :) so cute.
