We had a great Easter. It started off by Zach spotting some jelly beans on the stairs. He thought Elizabeth had dropped them until we pointed out there was a path of jelly beans leading down the stairs! We followed them to the back of the house where the Easter bunny had left a water table for the kids! Except it was cold out so we went back inside. They have since played with it daily and come in soaked every day. They squeal and play for hours!
The primary kids all sang a song during Sacrament meeting. Zach didn't know all of the words and had told me this when we were in the bathroom a few minutes before going up there. I told him it was okay if he just wanted to smile. So smile he did! He was a little cheeseball of smiles. After it was over he waited for Sister Hunter to come by him and told her that "I just stood there and smiled!"
We gathered the loot inside and they stuffed their faces with candy for a while. Elizabeth tried to get as much candy as she could in her mouth at all times. Those cheeks can fit a lot!
We had a great day and I keep thinking about how lucky these kids are to be close to both sets of grandparents and to get to spend so much time with them.
